5 Things You Might Not Know About Good Vibrations Wellbeing 🌿

Hello my loves,

I thought it would be fun to share with you five things you might not know about Good Vibrations Wellbeing!

As they say in the entertainment industry .. a little peep behind the curtain!

Good Vibrations Wellbeing is more than my ā€œsmall businessā€ - it’s my world, my love & an extension of my heart and home.

I hope Good Vibrations Wellbeing feels like a soft place to land for you.

A warm hug.

A hot mug of tea.

A safe space for your soul.

So here goes, in no particular order…

1. All my branding colours are based on one of my favourite dresses!

The dress in question is a gorgeous pink, orange & cream full-length maxi from All About Audrey. Originally bought for a wedding a couple of years ago... but I’ve adored wearing it soooo many other times! It makes me feel so very me.

I know it may sound shallow, but I really do adore clothes and fashion. One of my special talents is being able to tell you what decade something might be from! I especially adore anything from the 70s.

70s fashion deeply connects me to my Mum and Nana. It makes me feel nostalgic yet completely myself. My Nana was an absolute style icon, and through my vibrant and nostalgic brand colours, I feel like I’m honouring them both every single day.

2. I created Good Vibrations Wellbeing as my own sanctuary of calm.

Despite appearances, I’m not always a calm person! Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of struggles with anxiety, health, bereavement & grief.

Through discovering the incredibly peaceful power of sound, I’ve become a lot stronger and far less wobbly than I once was.

Healing sounds, creating them and receiving them, have truly helped me navigate this crazy world we call home.

And here at Good Vibrations, I really hope I can help you do that too.

As well as Sound Healing, I offer gentle restorative yoga that feels like a moving meditation and have even set up a monthly bereavement support group.

I truly believe that creating little pockets of peace is the way to find calm at the centre of it all.

3. I’m a full-time, life-long musician!

I never went to university. Instead, I gigged and gigged and gigged. Festivals, weddings, travelling the UK in my own band and as part of other people’s!

These days, I still put my musical skills to work in my part-time job writing, recording, and producing music for Pure Energy. If you’ve ever been to a big box gym, you might just have been working out to my dulcet tones!

I currently specialise in music for wellbeing & yoga at Pure Energy - because deep in my heart, I know music can be medicine.

4. Good Vibrations Wellbeing is named after the Beach Boys song!

Of course!!

I’ve always loved the Beach Boys.

When Ali and I had our handfasting, our first dance was to the Beach Boys in my mum and dad’s back garden… before I walked home barefoot in my wedding dress.

The musicianship, the songwriting, the way they encapsulate an era - if music isn’t magic, I don’t know what is!

I really hope I bring musical magic into each & everyone of my sound baths.

5. I’m very dyslexic… and sometimes that proves a challenge when running a small business!

Fortunately, it was picked up early in primary school & was given the help I needed. I mostly struggle with names, faces, spelling and have a short-term memory like a sieve…

But instead of holding me back, my dyslexia makes me try harder, think differently & I truly believe it makes me more creative.

For all my regular customers… you’ll know I’ve been known to get a time or date wrong for an event!

Luckily, everyone understands that everything I do comes from a place of deep love and care.

Thank goodness for spell check… and for having both a paper & digital diary!
