I adore getting snuggled in bed after a long day with a good book - more specifically, my Kindle.
I know, I know - I’m one of those.
I’m a convert.
I thought nothing could replace the smell of freshly printed pages or the feeling of holding something real in your hands.
But when you’re married to a light sleeper who requires utter darkness to drift off, there is nothing more magical than the soft glow of the Kindle light.
Also, I can read in the bath... What’s not to love?

However you enjoy devouring your books, I thought it would be a lovely idea to start a mini online Good Vibrations Book Club - a book club with zero pressure or deadlines.
Just a space where I can share what I’ve been reading and a place for you to share what you’ve loved too (down in the comments below).
Last year, I read 17 books.
If you had told teenage me this, I wouldn’t have believed you for a single second.
This dyslexic girl clearly hadn’t found her reading groove yet - or been given permission to read something that made her feel good.
My love for reading truly began when I was studying for my Sound Healing diplomas. Never before had I read about something I actually believed in.
And it rocked my world!
Now, I’m not going to share all 17 of my 2024 reads - some of them are just too embarrassing.
But this year, I’ve already read two wonderful page-turners:

Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May
This book inspired the entire planning process of my Winter Breathing Space Retreat. Despite Katherine’s personal experience, it sent me straight to the local sauna and ice plunge too! It made me slow riiiiight down, face some hard truths and set better boundaries.
The Goddess Path by Kirsty Gallagher
I turned the last page of this one today. It has been deeply empowering to reconnect with the divine feminine within and learn about the many gorgeous faces of the Goddess across different cultures. It has changed my daily life in such a beautiful way. My favourite quote has to be:
"Trust that you are never given a dream without also being given the means to achieve it…"
This was something I deeply needed to hear this year.
I think my next read needs to be some kind of cozy yet escapist fiction… Who else is eagerly waiting for the final part of Juno Dawson’s HMRC trilogy?
So, my loves, what have you been reading recently?
I’d adore hearing from you.
Take good care,
Hannah xxx
Here are the links to all the books I’ve mentioned above.
Just a little note - this isn’t an ad, and I don’t receive any payment for your purchases. I’ve simply adored reading these books and wanted to share them with you, my gorgeous Good Vibrations community:
Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May
The Goddess Path by Kirsty Gallagher
The HMRC Trilogy by Juno Dawson
I always have two books on the go, fiction and non fiction.
Something to develop or grow myself
Something I can get lost in
I’m currently reading Lightworkers gotta work by George Lizos and Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
I've given myself the task of reading at least one book a month this year. I used to read a lot but I find it quite difficult to stay focused these days!
I have a bit of an Ancient Greek obsession and I've read a lot of Ancient Greek stories from alternative perspectives. January's book was Clytemnestra by Constanza Casati. Clytemnestra was Agamemnon's wife and you don't hear much about her traditionally, so this is an interesting imagining of what her life may have been like and why she did what she did (no spoilers!).
I also listen to a lot of audiobooks - I'm just about to start listening to Clariel by Garth Nix from the Old Kingdom series.
