Good Vibrations Book Club

I adore getting snuggled in bed after a long day with a good book - more specifically, my Kindle.

I know, I know - I’m one of those.

I’m a convert.

I thought nothing could replace the smell of freshly printed pages or the feeling of holding something real in your hands.

But when you’re married to a light sleeper who requires utter darkness to drift off, there is nothing more magical than the soft glow of the Kindle light.

Also, I can read in the bath... What’s not to love?

Funnily enough, all the books I'm recommending this time I have in a physical copy!

However you enjoy devouring your books, I thought it would be a lovely idea to continue our mini online Good Vibrations Book Club - a book club with zero pressure or deadlines.

Just a space where I can share what I’ve been reading and a place for you to share what you’ve loved too (down in the comments below).

For the second half of the year, and the second Good Vibrations Book Club blog post, I want to share with you these wonderful page-turners:

A Psalm For The Wild-Built by Becky Chambers.

Now, I take no credit for finding this absolute gem of a book. It was handed to me by a dear friend & a regular yogi. I knew I was going to love this book as soon as I opened the first page & read the dedication… “For anybody who could use a break.”

It is a truly beautiful, short tale that’s absolutely full of heart. It made me reflect on our humanness & was the perfect feel-good-for-the-soul joy of a holiday read.

What Art Does by Brian Eno & Bette A.

This one is definitely for all those who are coming along to my Sound Healing From The Heart Workshops in September. This tiny little book changed my perspective on what art actually is & got me thinking about how even a sound bath can be seen as art.

It’s playful, practical & gets the creative juices a-flowing!

Growing Brave by Donna Ashworth

Again, this book was given to me by another dear friend. It is a truly beautiful book to have right by your bed that you can dip in & out to when you need some words of comfort.

Hearing Donna Ashworth speak live at the Happy Place Festival last year also really brought her words to life - she really is a ray of sunshine, inspiration & light, even of the darkest & most wobbly days.

This book wasn’t one I rushed through - it was just quietly there & waiting for me when I needed to hear its wisdom. Best read with a lovely cuppa tea on a cosy evening...

"Whatever you're facing, just know, it's from the deepest mud you grow..."

So, my loves, what have you been reading recently?

I’d adore hearing from you.

Take good care,

Hannah xxx

Just a little note - this isn’t an ad, and I don’t receive any payment for your purchases. I’ve simply adored reading these books and wanted to share them with you, my gorgeous Good Vibrations community:
