Winter Solstice Blessings, Sweet Souls!
Here’s a little blog post to help you celebrate the longest night & the shortest day with simplicity, stillness & hope.
Marking the Winter Solstice honestly doesn’t have to be a grand gesture…
It could simply be taking a deep breath as you stir a cuppa tea.
Really feeling the morning air on your face.
Sealing a Christmas card with a kiss.
Allowing yourself to dance a little to Wham.
Feeling your toes in snuggly socks.
Cosying up at the end of a busy day in your PJs.
Little tiny steps.
We are nearly there.

I had the honour & pleasure of holding the Winter Solstice Gathering at the Sanctuary of Healing yesterday.
Through meditation, healing sounds, poetry, oracle cards, mince pies, cups of tea, evergreens & song, we found a moment of stillness together to set our intentions for a brand new year.
The Winter Solstice falls on 21st December & marks the still point of the year - the longest night, when the sun stands still in the sky before it begins to slowly return with the lengthening of the days.
Just as the Earth turns inward, resting beneath the frost and quiet, this is your time to do the same.
We often think of nature as something outside of us... forests, oceans, the changing skies.
But the truth is, we are part of nature too. What is happening in the world around us is also happening within us.
As the natural world slows down, conserving energy, so too can you soften, rest & simply be.
So, how can you mark this magical occasion this year?

And finally, I want to share a gorgeous poem that I read at my Winter Solstice Gathering yesterday, but also in all my December Sound Bath sessions, called Momentary Stillness by Jadine Lydia:
here’s something so delicate
about the winter solstice,
as if all living creatures
are hung on the threads
of momentary stillness,
waiting for the earth
to breathe life again –
like the millisecond
before a flower bud opens,
like the oceans lull
before the turn of the tide,
like the breath before
a newborn baby’s cry.
and in this momentary
stillness, we must find hope,
that all will be well.
all will be replenished.
all will be renewed,
once more.

That’s all for this year, my loves.
May you find stillness, sanctuary & hope in your heart this Christmas.
All my love,
Hannah xxx
