A Sky Full Of Song

Writer: Hannah BrabbsHannah Brabbs

This morning, as the sun slipped through the bare branches of the valley, the sky began to fill with song

The dawn chorus has to be Mother Nature’s own healing Sound Bath.

But, when I rose from my bed today, I felt tired.

Like the kind of life tired that we often find ourselves holding in our bones.

A brief reminder that we are just human.

Despite this heaviness, I felt the deep desire to move my body beneath the blue breathy skies.

To get the blood flowing.

The heart beating in time with my Doc Martens.

To feel the sun on my bare face & embrace the day

I wandered purposefully into Hardcastle Crags, where the river winds in a slow meandering dance & the trees reach high into heavens above.

And that’s when I noticed it again - a sky full of song.

A sound bath is a moment of deep listening.

Not just to the sounds around you - but also to how your heart feels today.

A sound bath is the art of deep listening.

To experience a Sound Bath, you don’t have to head to a yoga studio or even own a signing bowl...

Instead, take the time to tilt your chin to the skies above or allow your ear to follow the ripple of the river.

Tune into the binaural beats that your sweet feet drum onto the earth as you walk.

Notice the wind that whispers through your hair.

The glitter of sunshine on your face.

A sound bath, to me, is moments just like this - a full body experience.

Whole body presence.

Whilst on my walk in Hardcastle Crags, I capture a moment of found sound or forest notes - as I like to call them!

I just had to share one of these recordings with you over on the Good Vibe Tribe.

Maybe you can imagine I am sat right next to you as we soak in a moment of dappled springtime sunshine together…

That's all for now, my loves!

I hope you have a peaceful month ahead.

Sending love, light & take good care,

Hannah xxx
