Little Things Mean A Lot 🧡 Crafting a Soulful Sound Bath

I believe your sound bath experience begins the moment you walk through the door✨

It should be a delight to the senses! A feeling of calm should surround you from that very moment.

I always feel it is such an honour that you have chosen to dedicate your precious time to a moment of calm with me - and I want the whole experience to feel this way.

Like a moment where you can step out of the chaos of your world, and it feels like being wrapped in a warm hug 🧡

Here my go-to-magic-sound-bath touches I use in every single session…

I always bring beautiful fresh flowers to each and every class.

Nature is one of our greatest teachers and can offer us soft a moment of beauty & reflection.

Whether it is the delicate larkspur petals or the abundance of a bright sunflower, each flower I choose brings with it its own unique energy.

It also offers a perfect focal point for anyone who might struggle to close their eyes in meditation - it’s so important to remember that we are all so very different, and offering these simple but beautiful “glimmers” can bring so much comfort to a new experience ✨

Keeping with the sense of sight, I always bring oracle cards. These are always left by my array of beautiful crystal bowls, invitingly spread out, waiting to be chosen.

Over the years, I’ve tried many different decks - but my heart always comes back to Feel The Glow Affirmations. They have such simple, crystal clear messages matched with calming artwork that they always seem to hit the right note for everyone who chooses one. There’s no lengthy explanation book too - sometimes keeping it simple is the best way.

A quick message of love.

A gentle nudge to your heart.

I used to play music whilst people were entering the sound bath room, but this is something I’ve chosen not to do for a while. The sound bath will speak for itself. It’s a sonic massage - a time to tune up and tune into your own heart. It’s easy to forget that people can be stepping out of crazy days and busy lives and most of the time, we are all just searching for a quiet moment. A sound bath shouldn’t be overstimulating.

I feel the calm and quiet before playing the instruments really allows for a moment of deeper listening, as the crystal bowls create such a pure sound and rich vibrations.

It’s always a magical moment when the soft, sweet singing of a crystal bowl first starts resonating & dancing out across the room.

I always take into consideration the time of day a sound bath is being held. If it’s in the evening, I  light candles & bring fairy lights to create the softest, most welcoming, cosy ambience. If it’s a morning sound bath, I provide eye pillows or Space Masks to soothe tired eyes into a space of blissful calm.

If you book onto one of my sound baths, I always ask you to bring along a blanket. No matter what time of year it may be, when you relax, your body temperature drops - so it’s just lovely to have that grounding touch from a soft blanket… One day, when I have my own studio, I dream of providing the most gorgeous fluffy blankets… But for now, I recommend a Dunelm Teddy Bear Throw - honestly, it’s heaven on earth!

A little touch that really makes sound baths magical is offering essential oils. At the start of a session, I love going around the room with a little pulse-point rollerball. To me, a delicious scent really sets the tone for calm relaxation, as our sense of smell is so powerful. At the end of the session, to bring everyone back into their bodies and into the room, I spray an essential oil mist. I highly recommend Inhale Botanicals, which can be found on Etsy! I’ve had such gorgeous feedback since I started using them.

Treat your sound bathers to a little something that lets the magic linger even longer! I love to leave a bookmark or postcard for everyone who comes to my sessions - like a small present waiting on their pillow when they arrive. On the postcard or bookmark, there’s a link to a free 15-minute meditation. ✨ BLISS ✨

And finally, if the session is part of a retreat, I always offer a glass of cold water or a steaming mug of yogi tea. I’ve heard dark chocolate can be wonderfully grounding too 🧡

I really hope this blog either inspires you to try one of my sound baths - or, if you are a sound healer or trainee yourself, I hope it encourages you to add your own extra touches to the sound bath experience. As always, listen to your own heart and only do what feels aligned with you ✨

Take good care, my loves.
