Meditation Script For A Soul-Soothing Sound Bath

Updated: Jul 1

I believe what you say at the beginning of a sound bath is just as important as the beautiful, healing soundscape that you are about to create.

The kindness of your words has the ability to soothe an anxious heart, calm a busy mind, reassure a new client, and create a blissful space for relaxation.

I have always loved creating self-penned worlds with meditation scripts, and I adore aligning them with Mother Nature and the unfolding of the seasons.

Today, I want to offer you a guide and template to creating your own blissful meditation scripts.

The words that I am sharing with you today are ones that I come back to time and time again.

They are tried and tested, loved and cherished.

A prayer from the heart.

A poem from the spirit.

I encourage you also, instead of just taking my words, to create your own. There is nothing more authentic and lovely than being your truest self! Remember that Roald Dahl quote, “If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams…” But I do hope this offering gives you a good place to start - an encouraging olive branch or a warm hand to hold your own.

Another point, before we begin - remember to read aloud calmly, slowly, and with gentle inflection - as if you are speaking to your best friend. You have an important job of guiding people into a state of comfort - these words are coming from your soul as a gift! Your voice, after all, is your most powerful sound healing instrument. Don’t hide your accent, too - there is no need to change.

You are enough.

This one is for all you sound healers, yoga teachers, and mindfulness mentors - whether it is your first sound bath or 100th sound session - I hope this script feels like a soft place to land.

Meditation Script

Namaste, Sweet Souls.

I invite you to find a comfortable position for today’s sound bath.

There is no wrong or right way to receive a sound bath. You know your body best and what will serve you the most right here and right now.

Go ahead, lie down.

This is permission for you to pause, relax, and receive.

As you are getting comfortable, I want to let you know that a sound bath is a moment of deep listening.

Deep listening not just to the soothing sounds, but also an invitation to deeply listen to your mind, body, and heart too.

How does your heart feel today?

Pause.

Now you have started to arrive in this supportive and comfortable place of meditation, and if it feels good to you - close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Relax the eyes behind the eyelids.

Release tension from your forehead and jaw.

Feel a graceful expression wash over your face.

Now, take a deep, slow, and peaceful round of breath.

Notice how the body moves to receive the breath...

And how the body lets go of the breath too.

Give yourself permission to breathe with ease and grace - imagining each breath is a breath of fresh air.

Cleansing.

Clearing.

Softening your edges.

Pause.

Start to bring your attention to the sounds of the crystal bowls.

Notice how they make you feel or where they invite you to go in your mind's eye.

Feel the sounds wash over your body as you continue to peacefully breathe.

Breathe the sounds in.

Let any worries go that no longer serve you.

Pause.

As you deeply listen to these healing sounds, take a moment to acknowledge how much you have going on in your life right now and maybe how much it took to make it here today.

Meet all of these worries, all of this busyness, all of these feelings, emotions, and sensations in the body with all the warmth and understanding in your heart.

You are enough.

All is calm.

All is well.

Pause.

Finally, before I leave you to drift and dream on all of these healing sounds…

Relax, relax, relax all the muscles in your face.

Relax, relax, relax all the muscles in your arms.

Relax, relax, relax all the muscles in your legs.

Relax, relax, relax the whole body.

Namaste.
